TWO PHOTOGRAPHERS = MAXIMUM COVERAGE
Veronique works with the bride as she gets ready, documenting the energy and excitement, the friendship and the love she has for her family and friends. Meanwhile André hangs with the guys, capturing their brotherhood and camaraderie, as the moment approaches.
During the ceremony, we are able to cover not only the bride and groom, but also the many wonderful reactions of those in attendance, giving you a wider view of this intense and meaningful event.
Our favorite part of the day is taking 10 or 15 minutes immediately after the ceremony to photograph the newly married couple, alone, together, at the peak of their emotions. These are often the most amazing images of all. Any requested group photos are taken and then it's straight to the party!
During the reception, we work to capture images of those in attendance, in a candid and natural manner. We also document all requested traditional images, such as the first dance, the parents' dances, the cake-cutting, the bouquet toss and the garter toss, etc.
By the end of the day we have recorded hundreds of perfect moments. These images are color-corrected and placed in your online gallery within 7 days. We also will post our Artists' Vision Album on this site within 10 days! We like to work on our projects while they are still vivid in our imaginations! Once we receive your approval, we will deliver your album(s) within 21 days.
DIGITAL CAPTURE = MAXIMUM CREATIVITY
We shoot digital for many reasons: higher resolution than film; wider dynamic range than slides; longer lifespan than paper prints; and the power to process our images to our own high standards.
We shoot 100 percent RAW, as opposed to the smaller JPEGs, because it allows us to preserve the digital negative in its pristine form, allowing us ultimate flexibility in maximizing the final quality of your images.
We invest several additional hours in our digital darkroom for every hour we spend shooting your event, and it shows in the quality of the images we deliver: noisefree, tack sharp, color corrected, gorgeous photographs that will capture your most precious moments forever. With digital we begin in color, but have the freedom to convert any image to black & white, sepia or even richly saturated duotones. We can also use digital to design creative layouts, employing details as backgrounds for stunning combinations of images across two-page spreads in coffee-table style albums.
The digital SLR cameras that we use have little in common with the ubiquitous point & shoot digicams that everybody has seen and most probably used. We have invested tens of thousands of dollars in the finest CANON equipment, including prime and zoom lenses, lighting equipment, computers, software and accessories.
OUR BACKGROUNDS
Veronique grew up in Montgomery, Vermont. She is a master of the lost art of tatting, which she has taught in workshops and loves to share with anyone who has an interest. She has also studied jewelry-making and metalsmithing with Leila Bandar of the Vermont Studio Center. A course of study in black and white photography and darkroom technique with John Miller at Johnson State College, awakened Veronique's discerning eye and she brings that gift to her current work.
André was born in NYC. He attended the Whitby Montessori School in Greenwich, CT where Paul Czaja (author of "Writing With Light") taught André the basics of creative visualization. After attending Phillips Exeter and the University of Pennsylvania, André worked in the editorial department of Universal Studios on Animal House, the network conversion of American Graffiti, among many others. André went on to start a video magazine on windsurfing, and later shot and edited local news and sports for an NBC affiliate in Corpus Christi, TX. For André, the '90s was the decade of total immersion in the Macintosh computer. He art directed, shot photos and wrote for 2 nationally distributed snowboarding magazines, designed websites for the Stratton and Stowe Mountain Resorts, and produced several action sports videos.
Wedding and portrait photography are the driving passion in Veronique and André's lives, and they regard this focus as the culmination of a lifetime of experience, one they would love to share with you.
